It's been a while!

Life is funny- even when its going well it still takes time to get used to the new way things are.  Nate's job keeps him away all day and half the night, and doing the day care thing is a big challenge for me and Tali.  I'm still finding my equilibrium, but I'm determined to finish up some personal projects and start posting regularly again.  I'll even be able to share what I'm working on now with the children's book, so be well everyone, and hope to draw atcha soon.

I've Been Sick

I know I've complained of rough weeks before, but these past few have been a real doozy.  Family stuff, work stuff, and then this virus came and knocked me and my little girl upside the head with a sledgehammer.  I'm just now starting to feel competent again, and the little one is being a monster which means she's feeling better.  After I finish my work commitments, I might have to take a break and really take care of myself.  This cycle of sick is no fun.

Li'l Red Door Characters

One of the jobs I'm working on right now is something I'm very excited about.  I've been contracted to illustrate a children's book for the very first time.  Its something I've always wanted to do, and I'm very grateful to Coy Bowles for bringing me on and writing such a cute story to illustrate.  So I may not be able to do my Daily Drawings for a while, but I think this will be worth it. :)

Girls Drawin' Girls Tarot Submission

My first collaboration with Girls Drawin' Girls- the GDG Tarot Deck.  My assignment was the Knight of Pentacles, so naturally I feel that is best represented by a barbarian warrior queen riding an alacorn.  I'm thinking Lisa Frank colors, too.  I have to turn this around quickly, so we'll see what we get!
