The back yard is covered in ivy, and I'm engaged in the laborious process of pulling all of it up so I can plant a proper garden come springtime. The roots are surprisingly thick and gnarly, and sometimes I wonder if I'm yanking a tree root by mistake.

Ugh. I have to do this also. But it's better than kudzu. That stuff will really ruin your day.
