Monkey Rag Sc. 02 Pencil Test

Phew! This was one of the longer scenes of the piece, about 15 seconds. Combined with the Sc12 pencils, I'm about :30 seconds deep in the animation. Not that impressive considering that the whole cartoon is about 4 minutes long, and that I was doing the animatic at this time last year, but I've decided to celebrate instead of grumble. Yes, I have been wasting a lot of time playing Bejeweled, but also, I didn't have as much time as I originally estimated to concentrate on animating this past year. Now that I feel like I'm getting a grip on this thing I'll be burning through it soon enough. I refuse to let this become a perpetual work-in-progress.

I love this! It's really energetic, and I especially love the "Stop your playin', can't fool me" part. The body movement of the sock puppet is outstanding.

The bird was a little hard to see, as he went by kind of fast, but I freeze-framed it and he's rather adorable.

Do you know how many frames this amounts to?

Thanks for the kind words Kyrstin! This scene is 449 frames (YouTube cuts off that last couple frames).

Oh wow! It's still wonderfully fantastic even if it was 15 seconds.

I've been waiting patiently on the progress of the Monkey rag animation, and I'm really happy with the progress so far :)

Looking awesome, Joanna! I hear you on the taxes as well...the crackdown of the irs on freelance practices is so much fun.:)

Keep it up!
