I'm doing designs for a new t-shirt website to be launched in April called TeesWithTude.com (I'll announce when its officially launched). Here are some design concepts for the site's hostess character, Heather.

This is a margin doodle that I tried to redraw properly, but for some reason I just couldn't do it. There's just something in her face I couldn't quite draw a second time, so I just went ahead and scanned the original. Its not like this is anything important, but still its maddening when I can't draw the same thing twice. Does anyone else ever have this problem?

"His Girl Friday" is one of my favorite movies, and I've always wanted to draw something inspired by it. I got a little wrapped up with it today- I'll be back to animating tomorrow.

I Love Lucy Cartoons

I'm loving the "I Love Lucy" DVD set. It includes all the lost Lucy animated bumps- I love those cute little stick figure caricatures.

Monkey Rag Sc. 02 Pencil Test

Phew! This was one of the longer scenes of the piece, about 15 seconds. Combined with the Sc12 pencils, I'm about :30 seconds deep in the animation. Not that impressive considering that the whole cartoon is about 4 minutes long, and that I was doing the animatic at this time last year, but I've decided to celebrate instead of grumble. Yes, I have been wasting a lot of time playing Bejeweled, but also, I didn't have as much time as I originally estimated to concentrate on animating this past year. Now that I feel like I'm getting a grip on this thing I'll be burning through it soon enough. I refuse to let this become a perpetual work-in-progress.
