UAO! I really like the retro look of the characters who, paradoxically, I find aesthetically modern, you also have a very marked sensitivity in the timing and you're a machine churning out frames. I was very curious about the result you got on the texture of the talking gorilla on your site, seems decupage ...
Lucenza: Thanks! The Laughing Oranguatans/Gorillas were illustrated in Flash, filled in with a texture I created in Photoshop. Some experiments were more successful than others- I still rather wish the client had chosen the wooden look...
Amanda: Thank you! "Monkey Rag" has been the most nagging thought in my head for the past three years. I started it when I was unemployed, but as worked picked up, it had to fall to the wayside. Even now, after I finish the pencils and feel all proud, the ink and paint process will begin. It should go much much faster than the animation, but "slow motion" does seem like an appropriate description of my progress.

PS sorry for my bad English: (
Wow, that's great news! Feels like I've been watching you make this in slow motion. I am so gosh darn excited and still hanging on :)
