Phew! This was one of the longer scenes of the piece, about 15 seconds. Combined with the Sc12 pencils, I'm about :30 seconds deep in the animation. Not that impressive considering that the whole cartoon is about 4 minutes long, and that I was doing the animatic at this time last year, but I've decided to celebrate instead of grumble. Yes, I have been wasting a lot of time playing Bejeweled, but also, I didn't have as much time as I originally estimated to concentrate on animating this past year. Now that I feel like I'm getting a grip on this thing I'll be burning through it soon enough. I refuse to let this become a perpetual work-in-progress.
Just an old sketch- I don't like it very much. I just feel like I must post something on my blog before I can dive back into Monkey Rag and really concentrate on it. If I don't finish Sc. 02 today, somebody please come to my house and kick my ass.
So History of the Devil is in full run, and the audiences seem to enjoy it. If you're in Atlanta over the next two weeks, come by and check out the play! Its entertaining, and sure to have something to offend the whole family*! (*NOTE: Do not bring children. Or pets. Bring alcohol instead.)
The back yard is covered in ivy, and I'm engaged in the laborious process of pulling all of it up so I can plant a proper garden come springtime. The roots are surprisingly thick and gnarly, and sometimes I wonder if I'm yanking a tree root by mistake.
